Congratulations, 2025 Graduates!
Here at FVRL, we’d like to congratulate all the recent graduates in schools and learning institutions across the Fraser Valley. Your hard work, dedication and perseverance have brought you to this exciting milestone. Whether you’re stepping into the workforce, continuing your education or exploring new opportunities, take pride in how far you’ve come and feel confident in the path ahead.
BC Cancer Prevention and Screening
Cancer can affect anyone. About half of British Columbians will receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, and it’s the leading cause of death in our province. The good news is that mortality rates have steadily decreased over the last 20 years. While treatment options have improved, the most important advances are related to prevention and screening efforts.
Celebrate Pride With FVRL
June is Pride Month, a time to honour the history, achievements and resilience of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. At FVRL, Pride is more than just a month-long celebration; it’s part of our ongoing commitment to inclusion, representation and creating a welcoming space for everyone.
Why I Prioritize Diverse Voices in My Reading
I love reading books by authors from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. I try to keep an open mind and seek out stories that reflect a wide range of life experiences. For me, this means being intentional about not limiting my reading to authors of a single ethnicity or worldview.
Audiobooks Count as Reading!

I absolutely love listening to audiobooks. I listen while I'm driving, making dinner, doing housework, and even when I go for a hike. Audiobooks have brought me hours of entertainment and allowed my busy mind to take a break with something enjoyable.

Free Comic Book Day!
On Saturday, May 3, we will celebrate Free Comic Book Day, an annual outreach initiative of the North American comic book industry. Thanks to the support of Heroes for Sale, one of the Fraser Valley’s amazing comic book shops, we are happy to share a limited selection and quantity of free comic books with our communities.
