The Sphero BOLT provides unlimited ways to express your inventive ideas and experience the power of programming. BOLTS brings robotics, coding and STEAM principles together – all through play!

BOLTS support Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) learning. Navigate a maze, program a painting, mimic the solar system, swim across water or have a dance party. The only limit is your imagination.
Borrowing a Sphero BOLT with Your Library Card
Want to borrow a Sphero Bolt? It’s easy! All you need is an FVRL card. Bolts circulate through the FVRL system as part of the floating collection. If we don’t have one available at your local library, we can put a hold on the next available and it will be delivered to your nearest FVRL location. You can check availability at your library or search online in the FVRL catalogue.
You may check out your Bolt for a three-week loan period. If there are holds on the kit, you may only keep it for two weeks. Please return your Bolt on time to any FVRL location. The Playground collection is available to FVRL full access cardholders only. See Getting a Library Card for more details.
What's Inside? Each Sphero BOLT kit will contain:
- BOLT robotic ball
- Inductive charging base with USB cable
- Protractor
You’ll need to provide your own smart phone or tablet, and download a Sphero app. We suggest the Sphero Edu app. You can download it free from the App Store, Google Play and Kindle Store.
