Hey, kids! This October, get crafty and decorate a pumpkin into your favourite book character.
We will provide mini pumpkins, and your challenge is to transform your pumpkin into a book character.
Completed pumpkins will be placed on display for everyone to enjoy and vote on their favourite design from October 23 to 31.
- Pick up pumpkins at the library from October 1 to 9.
- Submissions will be accepted between October 9 to 23.
- Voting will take place October 23 to 31.
Prize is one (1) $25 gift card to Black Bond Books. Contest runs Thursday, October 1, 2026 to Saturday, October 31, 2026.
Open to all Ladner residents, except FVRL Board members, management and employees of Fraser Valley Regional Library. One entry permitted per person. Chances of winning depends on the number of entries received. The prize winner will be selected by Ladner Pioneer Library customer votes and contacted on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The winner will be notified by phone and can collect their prize at Ladner Pioneer Library. The winner forfeits unclaimed prizes after six months. No purchase necessary. You are providing your information to Fraser Valley Regional Library and it will only be used for contacting the winner.
