Learn about the effects of colonialism as well as the ongoing challenges faced by Indian Residential School Survivors and their descendants. This program will offer an intimate perspective on the lived realities of those affected, and showcase the resiliency of Indigenous Peoples. Students will learn about the intergenerational impacts of colonial policies on First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples, while also exploring the intergenerational healing, resilience, cultural reclamation, and reconnection that Survivors, their families, and communities continue to carry forward. This is an age-appropriate and compassionate exploration of Indian Residential School history and its ongoing impacts, best suited for School Groups, Grades 4 – 10.
