Let your imagination lead the way. Get creative with a new craft project each month.
This month we will be making sock puppets with special guest puppeteer, Elspeth!
Elspeth Bowers has been doing puppetry for more than 50 years since her first job at the Vancouver Public Library in 1972. She was co-owner operator of a puppet company, Peter Pan Puppeteers in the 1970s and early 1980s when she was part of a duo who performed puppet shows at birthday parties, Christmas parties, and during hospital visits. In the 70's she began hosting a variety of programs in libraries and other venues around Vancouver, including puppet shows (full stage and lap puppetry) and puppet-making workshops for kids. You can view her online Summer Reading Club performances for Fraser Valley Regional Library (2020 and 2022) online.
Please only register the number of children participating. Parents and guardians attending do not have to register.
