This beginner-friendly workshop introduces children to the exciting world of sculpture through air-dry clay. Students will learn three essential hand-building techniques: slab construction, coiling, and pinching. Using these methods, participants can build miniature houses, barns, sheds, towers, castles, cartoon-inspired figures, animals, or their own imaginative creations. The workshop encourages experimentation, creative thinking, and problem-solving while developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Students will learn how sculptors transform simple shapes into three-dimensional artworks using texture, details, and construction techniques. Throughout the class, participants gain confidence in expressing their ideas through sculpture. By the end of the workshop, each young artist will leave with a completed sculpture and a stronger understanding of clay as a creative medium.
