Celebrate Summer Reading Club with Ocean Wise!

Join Ocean Wise for a family-friendly presentation all about whales, the ocean, and the amazing animals that call the Pacific coast home. During the first half, families will enjoy a 20-minute interactive presentation exploring why whales are so important to ocean health, why they hold deep cultural significance for many Indigenous nations across Canada, and how we can all help protect them from threats like noise pollution, overfishing, and vessel strikes.

Then, children and families will get hands-on with Ocean Wise educators at our Marine Mammals and Pacific Northwest artifact stations. Explore real ocean-inspired artifacts, ask questions, and discover the incredible connections between whales, marine life, and healthy ocean ecosystems. Come ready to wonder, learn, and make a splash for whales!

This program is for all ages.
