Pressed and Painted celebrates the rich creative legacy of a local artist group, the Central Fraser Valley Graphic Guild that began in 1977 with a shared passion for printmaking. What started as a focused exploration of print techniques has grown into a vibrant collective embracing all forms of visual art, from painting and drawing to mixed media and beyond.

This exhibition highlights both the group’s printmaking roots and its creative evolution. Visitors of all ages are invited to take part in a hands-on activity: a simple introduction to printmaking using foam plates—an accessible, fun way to experience the magic of creating original prints.

Drop in during the day for two hands on activities:

  • 11 AM - 12 PM: Relief Printing on Foam
    • This demo will show how to take a simple design and recreate it as a print.
  • 1 PM - 2 PM: Drawing Demos
    • This demo will show simple drawing skills using coloured pencils that can be developed into beautiful works of art.
