Drop in to learn about benefits, credits, pensions, programs, and services you may be entitled to. The following booths will be available to answer questions and provide service.

Please note: All services, including income tax filing, are first-come, first-served. There may be waiting times. To ensure we can assist everyone already in line, we may close the line before the end of the clinic. Customers are encouraged to arrive in the morning.


Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
  • Tax Slip information (T4, T5007, T4A -Pension, T4A- OAS and more)
  • Notice of Assessments (NOAs) and Assistance with CRA correspondence
  • Benefits and Credits information: Disability Tax Credit (DTC), Canada Child Benefit (CCB), GST/HST credit, Canada Worker’s Benefit (CWB)
  • Account updates (address, contact number, direct deposit etc.)
Service Canada
  • NEW Canadian Dental Care Plan - Information and Application/Attestation
  • Pension information on Old Age Security and Canada Pension Plan
  • Get a Social Insurance Number (birth certificate in most cases will be required)
  • Receive an access code to sign up for online My Service Canada
  • General Government of Canada information
Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (MSDPR) 

This booth is available March 31 from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm and April 1 from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm.

  • Assistance with questions related to income assistance
  • Get copies of Person With Disabilities (PWD) forms
  • Initiate Crisis Supplement requests for existing ministry clients
  • Assistance with applications for income assistance
  • Information on city resources such as housing, food, and rehab

Free Income Tax Filing - Community Income Tax Program (CVITP)


You may be eligible if you have a modest income and a simple tax situation. CVITP volunteers will be able to file any tax returns for the 2015 – 2024 tax years. 

To be eligible, your total family income should be less than the amounts shown in the chart:

Generally, your tax situation is considered simple if you have no income or if your income comes from:Your tax situation is not simple if you:
  • Employment
  • Pension
  • Benefits, such as the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, disability insurance, employment insurance, and social assistance
  • Registered retirement savings plans support payments
  • Scholarships, fellowships, bursaries or grants
  • Interest (under $1,000)
  • are self-employed, except if your income is less than $1,000
  • have employment expenses; business or rental income and expenses
  • have capital gains or losses
  • filed for bankruptcy
  • are completing a tax return for a deceased person

Generally, government photo ID is required to accesses services.
