Friends of the Library are recognized as one of the most important citizen groups in the library world. Time and time again Friends groups have brought benefits to the library as a result of activities and representation of community needs and interests.
What are Friends for?
To promote library services in the community
To initiate and support fund-raising activities
To encourage gifts, endowments and bequests
To raise awareness of the library with local politicians and other community representatives

These are difficult times for libraries: costs are climbing and budgets are shrinking. Demonstrate your support for library service in your community through membership in any one of Fraser Valley Regional Library’s local Friends groups – call the number listed or inquire about membership at your next visit to the library!
