Free Computer Lessons @ Your Library (Fall 2009)
Wednesdays & Saturdays
September 2nd - November 28th
Does the Internet intimidate you? Do you wish you had an email address? Maybe you just want to learn computer basics. We can help! Book an appointment for either a Wednesday or Saturday session at the Yarrow Library to learn how to 'surf the net.' Limited time program so don't delay and register at the Yarrow Library at (604) 823-4664.

Babytimes
Wednesdays- This program ends May 26th
This program has not yet started - it will start May 5th
10:30am-11:00am
A unique 30 minute program for babies (newborns to 23 months) that introduces them and their parents/caregivers to the world of children's literature, song, rhyme and rhythm. Join in for a bouncing good time!
Registration required and begins Tuesday April 6th.
Family Storytimes
Tuesdays- This program ends May 4th
This program has not yet started - it will start Mar 13th
11:15am-11:45am
Drop-in for a half-hour interactive program of stories, songs, rhymes, felt stories, and puppets. This program is suitable for ages 2-6 years, but younger siblings are welcome.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate.
Registration not required.
Get Crafty Craft Program Grades 5 and up
3rd Tues each month- This program ends May 18th
4:00pm-5:30pm
Held on the third Tuesday of the month from 4:00 to 5:30.
Registration required at the Yarrow Library, (604) 823-4664.

Tuesday, January 19th - Fun with polymer clay! Learn to make amazing bracelets and shiny earrings using wire, beads, jewellery findings, and your creativity.

Tuesday, February 16th - Hair care products! Learn to make your own shampoo, conditioner, and leave in products from scratch.

Tuesday, March 16th - Adorable stuffed animals! Learn to hand sew cute felt stuffed animals.

Tuesday, April 20th - Bath products! Bath salts, bath bombs, and more!

Tuesday, May 18th - Pet care products! Make a shampoo, scented powder, and shrinky dink tag for your favourite animal!

2nd Sat each month- This program ends Jun 12th
11:30am-2:30pm
Come and join us for video game fun at the library! We'll provide the consoles if you provide the competition. (If you have Nintendo DS, bring it along for multiplayer mayhem!).

Yarrow Book Club

The Yarrow Library Book Club continues this winter and spring. The book club will gather every third Thursday of the month to discuss the books they've read. Join Yarrow library staff for lively discussions of selected titles. Chosen books will change monthly copies are provided by library. New members are welcome to join at any time! Contact Yarrow staff at the Yarrow Library 823-4664. Registration is not required for this free program

Mature Drivers Re-Examination
Tuesday, Apr 13th
1:30pm-2:30pm
John DeMartin, driver examiner for ICBC, will inform mature driers about safe driving practices and what they can expect when they are called for re-examination. His presentation will provide practical tips to help the mature driver be safe and successful with their road test and in their daily driving.
Mac Computers: Basics and Beyond!

6:30pm-7:45pm
Local techie Raymond Nichols will present a program for Mac users providing some how-to tips & tricks. Learn about iphoto, iTunes, web browsers and operating system secrets in this interactive group session. Bring your questions!
Mother's Day Projects - Soap making in time for Mother's day
Saturday, May 1st
11:00am-12:30pm
Come and enjoy a fun filled morning of making soap products. You'll learn how to make scented and moulded soaps for Mother's Day gift giving. Register for this program by contacting the Yarrow Library at 604-823-4664. Registration is required and begins April 6th
