Call For Artists
Each month the library features a different artist from the community. Artists interested in displaying their work may contact the Information Desk.
Read-a-ma-Tazz!
Terry Fox Library is on the road with our outreach literacy program Read-a-ma-Tazz! Parents and children can join a reading circle with stories and songs, and each child receives a free book to take home. Read-a-ma-Tazz! is aimed at families with children, ages 0-5. We currently partner with the YMCA, SD43 Strong Start, Fraser Health and the Tri-City Women’s Resource Centre. Please contact us if your community group is interested in the program. Read-a-ma-Tazz! is proudly sponsored by Can-West Raise-A-Reader.
Adult Basic Education English Class
Mondays & Wednesdays - This program is an ongoing program

Monday and Wednesday afternoons; 12:30-3:30 pm.
Upgrade your reading, writing and vocabulary skills. Presented in partnership with Coquitlam Continuing Education. Registration is ongoing.

Special Effects Make-up Workshop for Teens

Terry Fox Library hosts a John Casablancas instructor and movie industry veteran Tracy Lai for a workshop on Halloween special effects makeup. Age 12 and up. Materials provided.

Customer Appreciation Day

There's lots to see and do at the library. Drop by and meet retired Canada customs officer, BobKlassen, author of "I Do Declare". Bob has collected fascinating stories about some of the irate travelers, exotic animals, smuggling and strange weapons he dealt with in his 35 year career. View the Art Focus Artist's Association group exhibit and chat with one of the local artists. Enjoy books, songs and puppets during Family Storytime at 11:00 am. Join us as we greet and thank all our valued customers. Enter to win a prize.

Trip to Morocco: An Informative Journey

Enjoy a tour of the ancient trading city of Marrakesh. Visit the coast fishing port of Essaouria with its Portuguese ramparts, crafts and unique street life. Cross the high Atlas Mountains by bus to the desert city of Quarzazate. John Gordon, winner of both provincial and national photography awards, has a wealth of wonderful memories and eye-catching photos from his trip to Morocco to share with you.
