Savour Each Word - Preschool to Grade 6

Encourage kids to gobble up some great reading this summer at Fraser Valley Regional Library! Find out how much fun reading can be by joining the annual Summer Reading Club sponsored by the British Columbia Library Association and public libraries around the province.

Kids will Savour Each Word when they join the free 2011 Summer Reading Club at FVRL. Sign up starts at all FVRL locations on mid-June. Kids will receive a fabulous free Reading Record and bookmark, as well as collect weekly stickers to keep track of all the delicious reading they do. Check us out for fun free programs, contests and displays all summer. Kids who complete their Reading Record will be eligible to receive a special Summer Reading Club medal!

Regular reading during the summer helps kids to maintain or even improve their reading and literacy skills and studies show that voluntary reading is the number one factor in establishing good reading habits. Summer Reading Club makes reading fun and our expert staff can help kids find just the right book or magazine from among a wide variety of library materials.
