Chick-Lit: Mother Daughter Book Club
Thursdays- This program ends Apr 29th
7:00pm-8:00pm
For girls in grades 4-7 and their moms, or any adult female friend or relative. Come and discuss books, share snacks and meet some new friends. Register for the program and pick up a book starting December 16.
Friday Fun Club
Fridays- This program ends May 28th
This program has not yet started - it will start May 7th

Looking for something to do after school on a Friday afternoon? Do you like reading, stories, contests, crafts, and prizes? Then Friday Fun Club is the program for you! Children in grades 1 - 3 may register for this free program starting March 15
Peek-a-Book
Mondays- This program ends May 17th
10:15am-10:45am
Make reading fun by starting early with baby storytimes. Bring your baby for one-on-one stories, puppets and more! (The library will be closed on Monday, April 5.) For children 0 to 18 months.
Reading Buddies - 7 Spring Sessions
Tuesdays/Wednesdays- This program ends Apr 28th
This program has not yet started - it will start Mar 16th
3:00pm-4:00pm
This half hour program is for children paired with high school students to practice reading. Partners meet once a week on Tuesdays or Wednesdays after school. Registration starts on February 1. Register at 2nd Floor Info Desk.
Student Library Council (SLC)
3rd Weds each month- This program ends Apr 21st
7:00pm-8:30pm
Have some input in what happens at the Library this year! Members organize programs and volunteer as Reading Buddies. As an SLC member, you can earn volunteer work experience hours. Ask for an SLC application form at the Main Floor information desk. Refreshments provided.

For children in grades 4 to 7.
Calling all readers! Join the Red Cedar Club and decide which non-fiction and fiction books deserve to win the Red Cedar award. We'll have a candy tasting, a movie day, and many other activities to keep you entertained. Prepare to have fun, meet new friends and read great books. Registration starts December 16.
Spring Fling Craft Extravaganza!

Come drop in to our spring craft break. Help us make a piece of collage artwork to display in the library. Lots of other crafts to keep your creative juices flowing. Ages 5 and up are welcome.
Festival of Aboriginal Artists featuring Amy Eustergerling

Aboriginal storyteller Amy Eustergerling will present a special program of stories and music. Amy has been a musician since her family formed a band when she was a child. Today, as a Cree elder, Amy is passionate about sharing Aboriginal culture with people of all ages. Come to hear traditional stories, listen to the music and try out one of Amy's drums.
Beating Stress, Anxiety & Depression Naturally

Natural medicine can be an incredible ally in helping cope with anxiety, depression and stress. Dr Hughes will give an overview of how we can work with our body and mind more skillfully to address these common complaints.

Join Dr. Gail Anderson, SFU Professor and internationally renowned forensic researcher, as she discusses the use of insects in criminal investigations. Dr. Anderson will use actual cases to illustrate her talk so this program is not for the squeamish or for children under 16 years of age.
