Arts Critique
Last Monday of Each Month- This program ends May 31st
7:00pm-9:00pm
Are you developing your talents as an artist, but feel like you could use some constructive feedback? On the last Monday of each month, the City of Langley Library hosts an arts critique in the lounge. Bring a piece of your art to be discussed and interpreted by your fellow participants, as well as by an experienced artist facilitator. This is a relaxed and friendly environment where you can connect with likeminded people and pick up some great suggestions along the way! Presented in partnership with the Langley Arts Council. Please call ahead to confirm that the event is running.
Book Club
3rd Tuesday of Each Month- This program ends Jun 15th

On the third Tuesday of every month, Book Club members meet to discuss one selected title. Call the Library, or drop-in to learn which books are being discussed monthly. Drop-in

Close Knit Langley

Join knitters of all ages and abilities at the City of Langley Library for our warm and welcoming drop-in knitting circle! Children and beginners are more than welcome! Knitting is fun, relaxing, and a great way to connect across the generations. The circle will also offer opportunities to donate completed projects to local organizations in need.
Family Storytime
Fridays - This program is an ongoing program
10:30am-11:00am
Drop-in for a half-hour of stories, rhymes and songs suitable for children of all ages. Storytime offers an enjoyable group experience and a chance to develop listening skills, self-control and love for reading. Drop-in

Wee Reads for Babies

Wee Reads for Toddlers
4th Wednesday of Each Month- This program ends May 26th
10:00am-10:30am
On the fourth Wednesday of the month, toddlers will discover a world of delight through picture books, rhymes, songs and puppets. One Eyed Troll

The Trollsons bring this traditional Scandinavian folktale to life at the library! The village is terrified by an evil troll who has taken over the forest, but a young boy out looking for firewood just might have a solution! Please call or visit to let us know you are coming.
Michael Visser, Cree Powwow Dancer
Saturday, Mar 20th
2:00pm-3:30pm
Join us for this very special performance as part of the Festival of Aboriginal Artists. After welcoming remarks from Mayor Fassbender as well as a community elder, Michael will perform a traditional Cree Powwow dance in the library. The Festival is meant as a way of sharing culture and building memory in our communities. Check out the other Festival events here. Drop-in.

Author Brian Brett will be reading and discussing his popular memoir Trauma Farm: A Rebel History of Rural Life. The book is an irreverent and insightful look at the 18 years Brian spent tending his Saltspring Island farm.
