Chilliwack Library Book Club
4th Wednesday each month- This program ends Jun 23rd

The Chilliwack Library Book Club meets on the fourth Wednesday of every month. Join Librarian Jennifer Douglas for lively discussions of selected titles. Chosen books change monthly with copies provided by the library. New members are welcome to join at any time!

Friends of the Chilliwack Library

Join the Friends of the Chilliwack Library on the first Wednesday of every month. This volunteer organization supports the library through advocacy, fundraising and assistance with various projects and programs. The Puzzle Sale, the Pet Parade and Quiz Night are all successful Friends initiatives. New friends are always welcome!

Storytime for Babies is an infant-focused introduction to children's stories, songs, and rhymes and rhythm, designed especially for babies (newborn to one year old) and their caregivers. Register for this program by contacting the Chilliwack Library Information Desk, beginning March 15th.

John DeMartin, driver examiner for ICBC, will inform mature drivers about safe driving practices and what they can expect when they are called for re-examination. His presentation will provide practical tips to help the mature driver be safe and successful with their road test and in their daily driving.

India Unveiled - A Travelogue

Local retirees Sheryl Henderson and Gary Baker will share photographs and experiences from their recent travels in India as part of a group sponsored by the Indo-Canadian Studies Program at UFV. Their trip included visits to New Delhi, the Taj Mahal, the Golden Temple, and numerous cities, both modern and sacred, including Dharamsala, the home of the Dalai Lama.

A Walk to Remember: The Pacific Crest Trail

This adventure slideshow chronicles Rick Kaselj's epic 4300 km hike from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail. The Vancouver kinesiologist and triathlete spent five months following the trail through the Southern California desert, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the hills around Mount Shasta, the volcanoes of Oregon and over the Cascade Mountains of Washington into Manning Park.
