1st Weds each month - This program is an ongoing program

The Agassiz Library has an active and committed group of volunteers who meet regularly to support the local library in its service to the residents of the Agassiz-Harrison area. If you love books and your library, this is the volunteer activity for you. There are always projects that need more Friends. Conversation Circles
Tuesdays - This program is an ongoing program
6:30pm-7:30pm
A social, friendly meeting of those who wish to improve their English. Agassiz Library supports the local Community Adult Learning and Literacy program in providing the meeting place. All welcome. For more information call facilitator Tamiko Thomas at 604-796-2585.
Preschool Storytime: Anyone Want a Story?

Storytime that makes Friday's fun! Stories, songs, play for little ones and their grown-ups with Terrill and Crackle and the odd guest. Free, drop-in program

Peter and the Wolf Storytime

A special preschool storytime around the classic story from Russia. There will be instruments playing, stories and wonderful fun. Preschool and siblings of all ages. No registration necessary, free event.
Our World Famous Author: Robert Wiersema
Saturday, Mar 20th
1:00pm-2:00pm
"HOME TOWN BOY MAKES GOOD" and, makes another novella and novel! Come to a reading and community event to hear the latest from Robert whose name we see as an author of book reviews, on the cover of the best-selling book "Before I Wake", on his new works, "The World More Full of Weeping" and … that other book-in-progress. First come, first seated, books for sale, free event.
The Library After Hours: The Beat of Our World
Friday, Mar 26th
7:00pm-8:00pm
Through their drumming, dancing, and music, Mpho Holele and her partner will engage the audience, as we feel the beat of another culture in our corner of the world. Bring the whole family and enjoy the rhythm. No registration, free event.
Quiz Night!
Friday, May 7th
7:00pm-8:00pm
Back by popular demand this coming Spring. An excruciatingly fun night of competition and trivia. Prizes for everyone, refreshments. Get your team of 8 ready, $10 per person. Call the library for registration details for this great event that puts the fun back in fundraising.
