Master Artists in the Library - Elizabeth Carefoot

Elizabeth Carefoot is an extraordinary multi-talented artist. After graduating from UBC and Emily Carr College, she trained as a cine-animator with Disney Studios. Carefoot enjoyed a career spanning 35 years as a Cine-Animator, a Graphic Designer and illustrator at Simon Fraser University. Carefoot also trained as a Middle Eastern dancer in Egypt, the U.S and locally, and has performed professionally in that capacity for 30 years. She continues to teach dance and culture, and give lectures on Middle Eastern costume and customs. Vancouver, BC native, Judy Jordison paints from nature and live models. In her successful career spanning 40 years, Jordison has shown in more than 30 solo shows. Represented by 18 galleries across Canada since 1976, Judy Jordison paintings have won numerous awards and accolades. Born in Greece, Golfo Tsakumis moved to Vancouver in 1970 and was involved in artistic endeavors early on while raising her family. Over the last twenty years, Golfo has experimented with a variety of painting including acrylic, watercolors, and oil. Today Golfo’s work is a bold mix of styles ranging from impressionism to contemporary. She brings a sophisticated feel to her paintings through a unique balance of color composition and texture. Her work is featured in private and public collections.

City of Langley Library is getting a new look in conjunction with the Timms Community Centre renewal project. The library will be open regular hours during the renovation! However, the exterior book drop is closed. Please visit any of the Langley Township libraries to drop your materials off after hours.
