CreAtrium Collaborative Art Project

Each year the Teen Advisory Group creates an art installation to suspend in the library atrium from November to March. In 2014 we are inviting the whole community to participate in the launch of this project. Learn about the design and make a craft to contribute to the final installation. Can’t make the launch ? There will be opportunities to participate throughout the fall. Watch for details and maker stations. All ages welcome.

The Doctor Lands at the Library

Imagine Iceland

Join author Sanford Osler for a fascinating look at the ancient and seemingly simple watercraft that helped shape British Columbia. Sanford has been involved with canoes from childhood and has paddled in virtually all the types of craft covered in his new book Canoe Crossings. He’ll share beautiful images and other highlights from his book, including stories about colourful local canoeing characters. Canoe Crossings will appeal to anyone who has ever sought adventure, found solace, or seen beauty in a canoe.

These workshops, presented by the WorkBC Employment Services Centre and the Maple Ridge Public Library, will help with your job search and to create resumés and cover letters that employers will notice. City of Langley Library is getting a new look in conjunction with the Timms Community Centre renewal project. The library will be open regular hours during the renovation! However, the exterior book drop is closed. Please visit any of the Langley Township libraries to drop your materials off after hours.
